Start at Skenderbej Square

Begin your day in the heart of the city. Walk around Skenderbej Square and visit the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, and the National History Museum. The area is open and quiet in the early morning. Bring water and a hat, the heat builds quickly.

Walk through Rinia Park and the Artificial Lake

Rinia Park offers shade and a break from the sun. Grab a cold drink and sit under the trees. Then head to the Grand Park of Tirana. Walk around the lake, rent a bike, or stop at the cafés by the water. Locals come here in the evenings, and it’s a good place to relax.

Take the Dajti Cable Car

The Dajti Ekspres cable car gives you views over the whole city. At the top, the air is fresher and cooler. You can hike, eat at the restaurant, or just enjoy the view. It’s a good escape from the heat of the center.

Explore Bunk’Art and the House of Leaves

Bunk’Art 1 and 2 show you the city’s past under communism. These museums are inside real bunkers, and the experience is unique. The House of Leaves is smaller, but gives a clear picture of surveillance and control in the past.

Visit Castle of Tirana – Kalaja e Tiranes

This small castle is now home to artisan shops, quiet cafés, and local food stands. It’s a short walk from the main square and a nice spot to spend a peaceful hour. You’ll also see part of the old city walls.

Walk around New Bazaar – ‘Pazari i Ri’ and ‘Blloku

In the evening, go to Pazari i Ri. Try fresh fruit, grilled meat, or street snacks. Then walk to Blloku. This is where Tirana’s nightlife happens. You’ll find bars, lounges, and open-air spots full of people. Even if you don’t drink, the area has energy and charm.
