In this place, you will find the true heirs of Labëria, this proud region found not only in books and writings, but also in great truths of Albanian history. Their song echoes even today in the houses of Vlora, in festivals and family celebrations.
“Kënga labe” (Labëria music) is a national treasure, inherited from generation to generation and in Kuç you will be able to hear it in its raw form. Kuç village is the typical settlement of Labëria, with a population of 3000 inhabitants. It is located 620 m above sea level and 62 km away from Shushica.
Kuc VLORE
It lies in the lower Kurvelesh, where the Shushica River, also known as the Vlora River, originated. Its nature is rich, it is mainly hilly -mountainous, medium and high greenery prevails. It stands significantly at the beginning of the Borsh valley, which extends to the southern part along the sea. Since the late medieval period it has taken on the dimensions of an important urban center for the whole province, and has even been regarded as the heart of the lab.
Residents of the area contributed during the National Liberation War, World War II with 105 heroes and 5 martyrs. The village was burned 4 times during this war.
