Ladies and Gentlemen,

Meet Najada Dafa!

I met her a few days ago for the first time in person and couldn’t help but noticing her unique eyes, even though it was night. I was sure those eyes had seen more than me around Albania and probably had captured better views. I have always thought that a person that travels often and enjoys the wonders of the Earth, becomes a better person in time. Her eyes confirmed.

Najada is an engineer, working currently in an office, but reaching a new destinations almost every weekend. She likes to challenge herself, climbing mountains through the snow, exploring unknown trails and why not, presenting us spots we have never seen. This interview will tell you more about her and will reveal a few good places to go and a few good things to do around our country.

3.The most difficult situation that happened during a trip?

It was during the climb to the Podin of Kollata. I did not know that I was positive with covid even though I had symptoms that made me suspect it. As if it was not enough, while climbing I confused the path and chose a very steep one, narrow and frozen.

4. 3 most beautiful landscapes you have ever seen?

-Plase river gorge, in Curraj I Eperm

-Tërshene, Kukes

-Shtegu I ngjyrave (Color trail) at the Kosovo border

Tropoja Dance. I adore it, even though it’s not traditional of my area.

6.Where do you like the food more, in the north, in the middle or in the south of Albania?

Regarding culinary I would choose the south but I have to say that I also love “jufka dibrane” very much.

7.Are you a sea girl or a mountain girl?

Once a sea girl, now a mountain girl. I have replaced the noise of the sea with the calm of the mountains and lakes that some of them may have ☺️

8.If I were to give you a budget of 10 thousand euros, how would you spend it?

I would travel around the world, I’d take a gap year as Americans do.

9.What is the Albanian historical figure you would like to meet?

If I lived in his era, I would like to meet Naim Frasheri.

10.What would you ask to him?

As a nature lover I would ask him what did he found so special about Albanian nature that inspired him to write all those verses and I would try to compare his feelings with mine.

11.There is always a rule we like to break when traveling, which one is yours?

I always get more things than I need.

12.Tell me a song that represents your mood when traveling.

13.You are climbing a mountain and your mom, brother and a friend call you. To whom will you immediately open the phone, to whom will you close it and to whom will you send a message later?

My mom often calls me while I’m going down a mountain and I always pick it up. My brother knows that I have a weekend reserved for the mountain so he does not call at all. When he calls, I hang up and he understands the signal. In the case of a friend I would text her later.

14.Which place will you show your foreign guests first?

For someone who is not very adventurous I would show the Thermal Baths in Permet, a place of relaxation and easily accessible by car. For adventurers I would like to show the Selce waterfall which does not require any great physical preparation.
