The Church of Ristozi is a cultural heritage monument in Mborje , Korce district.It is one of the earliest religious buildings in the Balkans. There are several versions of its construction. According to one version, this church was built in 896 by Saint Clement , while another version dates it to the mid-14th century.The church was built at the foot of the Morava Mountain , southeast of Korca . Its frescoes were painted by anonymous painters in 1390. It is known as a holy place that helps people. On the day that Christ completes 40 days from his resurrection, this holy place is visited by thousands of Orthodox believers.The territory where this church was built was in these centuries in the Principality of Muzakaj . The feudal class led the economy and the political and social life of the country. In the years 1389-1390, the one who gave the money for its construction was Bishop Nymphoni. The Ristozi Church is a very picturesque chapel due to its external treatment and striking proportions. It is part of the group of churches with an incised cross without internal support. Its central space is the nave, which has a rectangular plan, a nave, and domes. It communicates with the additional environment through two open gates, one in the southern wall, the other in the western wall of the nave. The height of the highest point is 7.5M.
In 2015 the church underwent maintenance work as it was at risk of collapse.
