Beaches and Coastline
Sarande’s beaches are the main attraction. Mirror Beach, Pasqyra Beach, and Mango Beach offer clear water and easy access from the town. Walking along the promenade lets you enjoy cafés and sea views.

Historical Sites
Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is 18 km south. It contains ruins from Greek, Roman, and Venetian periods.
Lekuresi Castle overlooks Sarande and the Ionian Sea. You can reach it by car or taxi and enjoy panoramic views.

Blue Eye Spring
The Blue Eye (Syri i Kalter), 25 km from Sarande, is a natural spring with turquoise water. It is popular for photography and short nature walks.
Food and Drink
Seafood is central to the local cuisine. Try fish, calamari, and seafood platters at seaside restaurants. Olive oil, local wine, and traditional desserts are also widely available.
Nightlife and Entertainment

How to Get There
From Tirane, it takes about four to five hours by car. Minibuses run daily from Tirane and other southern cities. From Greece, you can enter through the Kakavia border, about one hour away.
Getting Around
Walking works well in the town center. Taxis are available for trips to beaches or Lekuresi Castle. City buses and minibuses connect Sarande with Ksamil, Butrint, and nearby villages. Renting a car gives you more freedom to explore the coast.

Summer is ideal for beaches and nightlife. Spring and early autumn are perfect for sightseeing, walking, and visiting natural attractions like the Blue Eye.
